Bernie Mac, dead at 50.

Unfortunately, it is true.

The saddest thing was that he was a truly funny man, and had in recent years been escalated into the higher eschelon of classic comedians like Bill Cosby, but with an edgier tone and a sardonic, cutting wit that made his self-titled TV show so popular and so close-to-home funny.

But don't take my word; look at this clip from his TV show and judge for yourself.



Rest in peace, Bernie; you have most certainly earned it.
