JAMES Bulger killer Jon Venables has had his application for parole turned down.
Venables, 28, made a bid to be freed half-way through a two-year jail term for downloading and distributing sickening child sex abuse pornography.
And the Mirror revealed yesterday Venables was even said to be planning a TV interview to talk about his life.
But officials yesterday informed James's family a parole board panel had rejected his application for early release. The murdered toddler's mother Denise Fergus wrote on Twitter: "good news all just heard venables is NOT getting released xxx".

He was originally freed with Robert Thompson in 2001 after they had battered James, two, to death on Merseyside in 1993.
And Denise, 42, argues he should not be freed again until doctors are satisfied he is no longer a danger. She said: "Venables is a very dangerous individual and it's a huge relief to hear that he will not be getting out any time soon. He was not fit to be released when they let him out the first time at the age of 18.
"It's too big a risk and thankfully they have seen though his lies and realised that the only safe place for him is behind bars."
Venables would again have been freed with a new identity and Denise added: "This time the parole board have made the right decision."
