SoftEther from Japan has come up with a spanking new 3D motion-capture figure that will see action in creating computer graphics and animations in 3D. Known as Quma, this doll does resemble the human physique to a certain extent, featuring a set of joints at strategic places all over the body. These joints not only help you manipulate the figure to be in the right position, but they too come with sensors which can be moved about freely by the user. For example, if you lift up the left leg, the 3D figure on the computer will also follow suit – making you feel as though you were Captain Blackbeard who has Jack Sparrow in his pocket, literally. View a video of Quma in action after the jump.
