Samsung, LG about to close Apple’s huge LCD orders

It seems that both South Korean consumer electronic giants, LG and Samsung, are very close to securing a deal with Apple when it comes to LCD orders, at least that is what industry sources have informed the Korea Times. We all know that both Samsung and LG are already supplying majority of the world’s LCD displays, and it seems as though these screens will target the next-generation iPad – for brevity’s sake, we will call it the iPad 3.

Whispers have it that Apple has already begun quality testing on the parts at a Chinese laboratory, where Samsung and LG have their work cut out for them – to deliver superior picture quality and density. Needless to say, that is the least one can expect from Apple, no less, and hopefully if all goes well, testing will be completed by the time this quarter is over.
