Shirley Gorospe Is Dead

Shirley Gorospe, Philippine cinema's most beautiful leading ladies in the 50s and 60s, died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in California on July 9, Saturday, due to brain tumor and lung cancer complication. She was 73.

Her death was confirmed by Pempe Rodrigo, a friend of Gorospe and prime mover of “Balik Samahan,” a group of veteran stars that holds regular reunions.
