Police were attacked by a crowd of between 70 and 100 people during fresh disturbances in Portadown, in Northern Ireland on Friday night.
Petrol bombs, bricks, fireworks and other missiles were fired at officers in the Corcrain Road and Charles Street areas but no injuries were reported.
Three people were arrested and 19 baton rounds were fired by police.
Local people said the violence flared after loyalist flags were removed close to a peace line.
Sinn Fein's John O'Dowd said there was 'no excuse' for the violence.
